I am a Latina social work intern who specializes in working with clients with a history of trauma such as survivors of crimes, immigrants with trauma, and those experiencing grief. As a child of Mexican-immigrant parents, I firmly believe there is beauty in incorporating our values and culture into our healing, so I’m here to aid you in identifying what parts serve us. I strive to create a comforting space for individuals that are starting or continuing their journey into self-exploration in therapy

I am trained in Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and soon will be trained in Trust Based Relational Intervention. In addition, I have worked with individuals struggling with mental health issues such as depression, anxiety, and/or PTSD. I am capable of providing services to adolescents, adults, and families. I provide Spanish culturally appropriate services

My focus is to work with individuals and incorporate their life experiences into our work to understand the uncertainty, change, and challenges of life. One of the most important aspects of therapy is the client-clinician relationship. Therefore, my goal is to work alongside you in a collaborative way to aid you in identifying your current struggles and help you identify the tools you already have within to empower you to tackle those issues. My job is to assist you in examining your own thoughts and feelings to ultimately make decisions you find best to live with.

I am able to provide evening and weekend availability to facilitate barriers that might exist. I am happy to speak on the phone and conduct a brief consultation to help you determine if this will be a good match. If you believe that together we can begin working on your goals, I invite you to reach out."
