As a therapist and social worker, I believe strongly in the dignity and worth of every individual. I also understand that different situations and seasons of life can cause distress that often shows up as feeling stuck, unseen or unheard, or disconnected from what matters most. I work with individuals to navigate this distress not as something inherently wrong, but as a signal that deserves attention through introspection, communication, and collaboration.
As a child of immigrants, I know first-hand both the beauty and pressures of family, culture, and religion, especially when many competing voices tell people who they should be. I strive to create a safe, compassionate, and nonjudgmental space where clients can explore their emotions, hopes, frustrations, identities, and values with honesty and curiosity. My goal is to support clients in developing a deeper understanding of themselves while moving toward a life that feels more authentic and aligned with what matters to them.
I'm a clinical MSW candidate and trauma fellow at University of Houston. I view the client's goals and lived experience as central to the therapeutic process and draw from evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and trauma-informed care. I also take inspiration from Traditional Islamically Integrated Psychotherapy (TIIP) for those looking for a faith-based and spiritually grounded approach, while remaining equally committed to supporting anyone regardless of background or belief.
If you are ready to embark on a journey of self-discovery and personal growth with cultural humility, emotional honesty, and care, I would be honored to walk that journey with you.
